Very Nice Chinese Air Force Dagger With Frog
This is one of the many variations of the chinese air force dagger and this particular one dates from the world war ii era. It is mounted with a blade that measures 8 3/ inches in length which remains in very nice condition with only some minor surface stains. It wears beautiful brass fittings which are wonderfully detailed including an outstanding hilt backstrap in the image of a bird's fully winged body.
The hilt is in a lovely rose color which is accentuated with the original brass twisted wire wrap that is still tightly in place. The metal scababrd also wears pretty brass fittings and remains in good condition as well. The rare leather frog is missing one carrying ring, otherwise remians very healthy. Overall measuring 14 1/2 inhces in length. (please note other items shown as props are not included in this auction).
